NEW RELEASE

Blinded in Iraq while in the Marines, Matthew Cage never realized the key to unlocking his forever midnight world was within arm’s reach.

Dawn Richards first saw her best friend’s older brother via webcam. For years, she secretly desired him, keeping her fantasies hidden from the rest of the world.

After a downward spiral, Matthew secluded himself in his prison of darkness, but his sister and friends helped him find his way. Having worked hard to become a Master Instructor in Close Quarters Combat, Matthew’s world seems normal until tragedy strikes.

When Dawn’s life is threatened, Matthew refuses to let her deal with it alone. Can Dawn trust him to protect her? Will Matthew finally believe he can have sunshine in his world?

EXCERPT

I woke up to total darkness. I didn’t
know if I was dead or alive until I tried to blink, but the pain was worse if I
tried to breathe or move, so I figured I must be alive and in hell. Turns out I
was right.
I wanted to fight the suffocating fear
that came over me. I tried to calm my panic and assess the circumstances.
I was definitely lying in a bed. I felt
buried alive. Is there a blanket over my
face?
Am I paralyzed? Why can’t I
move? Why can’t I see or hear anything except incessant beeping?
Hot waves of pain crashed over me,
reverberating through every fiber of my body. All the limbs must have been
there; I felt pain fucking everywhere. Surely if I had lost some parts, they
wouldn’t be hurting so much. Able to move one hand, I used it to explore. Painfully
reaching up to feel my face covered with bandages, I discovered wires sticking
out from it. My lips were rough and hard; they didn’t feel like lips. I could
put the tip of my pinky in my partially open mouth, but then wires and braces
stopped it from further exploration. Oh
shit, this is going to totally suck
.
I moved my hand downward to the bandages
covering my chest and then over my stomach to my dick—limper than I ever
remembered it being, but at least all in one piece. My entire right side was
heavily bandaged, radiating with agonizing pain.
What
happened to me? What the fuck happened to me, and what’s coming next?
I started to panic again, which caused
the telemetry heart monitor to beep so loudly I didn’t hear the nurse come in.
“You’ll be all right.” The nurse’s
hands were firm, yet gentle, as she soothed my arm tied to the bedside. “Try to
relax. I’m giving you something in your IV to help you calm down.”
I escaped the only way I could, back
into oblivion.

Ashes to ashes.
Dust to dust.
And all that fucking shit.
I had killed.
I had sacrificed.
The innocent and the corrupt. I knew blood and I knew
violence.
Never imagining I could know love too.
Mia Ryder was a woman to love. To cherish. To fucking claim.
Now, forever, and every day in between.
If there was anyone I’d go to Hell and back for, it was her.
Even if meant, going to war with…
My fucking brother.

“Tell me you don’t love me. Tell me you don’t wish it were
me who held you in their arms. Tell me you don’t want me to kiss you right now,
yeah? Touch you, take you to our bed and make sweet fuckin’ love to all night
long, until there isn’t an inch of your skin I haven’t kissed, licked, or
touched. Tell me you don’t feel me,” he whimpered, placing his hand over my
heart, “here.”
“Creed,” I whispered in a voice I didn’t recognize. Trying to reel in my
feelings, hide the fact that he still had an effect on me.
After all this time.
“Tell me any of that, and I swear I’ll leave you alone, cuz at the end of the
day… All I ever wanted was for you to be happy, and if that’s not wit’ me, then
at least I have the memory of the love of my fuckin’ life.” He placed his
forehead on mine, bringing his hands up to frame my face again. “Say the words,
babe,” he groaned in a tone that made my stomach flutter and my body warm. His
mouth so close to mine that I could feel him breathe on me. The smell of cigarettes
and mint took over my senses. As if he was testing me, he licked his lips
slowly, provoking me. Proving that he was right. I shut my eyes. I had to. The
realization was too hard to admit, and I knew he could see it in my gaze.
He knew me. “Creed,” I panted, my breathing mimicking his. “Please…”
“Please what, baby?” he rasped as if he was hanging on by a thread.

When ultimate impulse collides with maximum control…

It’s all about taking charge. Luke Danvers has his future planned to the nth degree—until he steps on an IED in Afghanistan. Bitter, angry, and emotionally adrift, he returns to the States, ready to spend the rest of his life pissed off at the world.

Kiley Endicott has never been a poster child for moderation. Married and widowed young, she’s raising twins on her own. Since impulse has always ruled her life, it’s not easy being a sedate parent under the critically watchful eye of her family.

A Friday night lapse in sanity, leads Kiley to a hook up with Luke Danvers. Even in the cab of a truck, he’s an awesome lover. She wants more. But she’s got to be circumspect, nobody can know.

Luke hasn’t had fun in—forever. But he can’t stop grinning after he meets Kiley Endicott. It’s more than her being a totally uninhibited lover, but God knows he can’t get enough of that either. She makes him laugh.

She says nobody can know. Okay, he’s trained in stealth. He sets up a call system, a taboo frequency, guaranteeing her twenty four hour access in every way. But he’s not just waiting for their secret meets. He’s planning a siege.

EXCERPT

“Maybe we can help each other,” she said looking up at him. He didn’t know what she had in mind but listened to find out.

“I’m a single mom. I don’t have a steady man because I don’t want one hanging around my two kids who are right now with my mom. She doesn’t babysit often and aside from Marcie, I don’t leave them with anyone else. I have a full-time life that includes a job and no time for a relationship. ”

“And?” He squeezed her shoulders, urging her to make an offer he wasn’t going to refuse regardless of what it was.

“And—I have certain biological needs I’d like to satisfy with something other than plastic.” She closed her eyes, her blush denying the intimacies they’d just enjoyed at the same time her hand stroked his thigh, promising more.

“Well as to those biological needs—seems like we can find a way to get them satisfied. When you’ve got the time, I’ll find the place.” He pulled up next to her car and put the truck in park, idling in front of her sister’s house, waiting for Kiley’s answer.

When she remained mute, he decided coaxing was in order.  “You do the calling,” he said, switching on his truck’s overhead light to search in the glove compartment for paper.

“I’d just as soon the whole town not know we’re carrying on,” Kiley murmured, her blush turning her pink cheeks to ruby.

“Carrying on?” After the uninhibited fucking they’d just engaged in, her old-fashioned description made him smile.

His quick rummaging turned up no paper, so before shutting off the overhead light, he held her hand and wrote his number on her palm. “If you change your mind and don’t call, it’s okay. I’ll not bother you. If you do call, I’ve marked your number a TF.”

“TF?”

“That’s military speak for taboo frequency—a contact too important to miss. You call when you’re able to get free and I’ll make sure we get together.”

He let her get half out the door before he added his last addendum to their deal.  “As to the plastic, you might want to bring it along for a ride or two. No sense in letting it feel neglected.” He liked a little variety in the sheets and he figured he’d let her know up front, he wasn’t all vanilla. He had a feeling neither was she.

Excerpt

It was the grin that did her in. Warm, gentle, understanding.

It was that grin that washed away her reluctance.

He was the man she chose. He was the man her heart and soul told her she wanted.

Could she be wrong?

Absolutely.

There was that risk in every decision in every day of living.

There was no shame in the fear.

Running from it was the weakness.

She did not run.

She took a step toward him. And another. She went up on her tiptoes, cupped his nape in her trembling hand, and she kissed him.

His lips were mobile beneath hers and warm, but he made no other move. She had to take his hand and set it on her hip before he touched her. But once she had issued that subtle invitation, he didn’t require more.

He turned her around and braced her against the kitchen counter and deepened the kiss, sending glory and delight through her body. She reveled in the sensation of his mouth trailing hotly over her cheek and down to the crook of her neck, where he nibbled at the sensitive skin there.

Ribbons of pleasure skittered over her nerves and she pressed against him, trying desperately to get closer. His scent surrounded her, filling her nostrils, dizzying her mind. Filling her with an irresistible urge to taste him as well.

Madly, voraciously, they ate at each other, licking, lapping, nipping all exposed skin and then, in a frenetic rush, exposing more. In her frenzy, she popped the buttons off his shirt. They skittered all over the floor, but neither of them noticed or cared. They also ignored the dogs’ amusement with the new toys.

As buttons and toenails clattered on the linoleum, Andrew murmured something unintelligible and walked her backwards into the room off the kitchen.

Thank God the room was off the kitchen.

She didn’t think she had the wherewithal to make it up the stairs.

Her body was afire, liquid and languid—as though an angry volcano bubbled at her core.

Andrew seemed equally shaken. His hands shook as he removed her blouse. His eyes were wide, red-rimmed, as he stared at her breasts, cupped in nothing but lace.

“God,” he sighed. “God.” Then he whipped around and kicked the door closed with his boot.

She laughed. “Why did you do that?”

“The dogs sleep with me sometimes. At the moment I’d prefer they not join us.”

“Excellent idea.”
